Key Qualifications:

• Active Illinois teaching license and certification for Visually Impaired required
• CTE (Career and Technical Education) endorsement is a must
• Demonstrated prior experience in a school-based setting
• Proficiency in conducting functional vision and media assessments
• Strong observation and reporting skills
• Ability to collaborate with educational teams and families
• Please note: No VOCO assignments permitted for this role

Your Responsibilities:

• Conduct a thorough functional vision assessment and media assessment for a student
• Observe in the classroom to gather vital information on strengths and areas for support
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure a comprehensive evaluation
• Provide clear, detailed reports of findings and recommendations
• Attend a scheduled 30-minute interview as part of the selection process
