As a key educator supporting students with Emotional Behavioral Disorders or severe behavioral challenges, you'll thrive in a self-contained or sub-separate classroom setting. You'll deliver targeted instruction, build meaningful relationships, and support students' academic and emotional growth throughout the school year.

Qualifications:

• Active Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) Special Education license for Secondary grade band.
• Compliance with the Right to Read Act: Structured Literacy proficiency (certified or willing to complete within one year of hire).
• Experience working with high school students, preferably in self-contained or sub-separate settings.
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Dedication to fostering a positive, supportive, and respectful learning environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized instruction for high school students with emotional or behavioral disabilities.
• Develop and manage IEPs in collaboration with school staff and families.
• Foster social, academic, and behavioral skills crucial for student success.
• Monitor progress, adjust strategies, and communicate clearly with colleagues, students, and families.
• Create a structured and engaging classroom that promotes growth and confidence.
