Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching License
• Experience with mild interventions and supporting students in upper elementary or middle school grades
• Ability to serve as Teacher of Record (TOR): managing compliance and documentation
• Skilled in writing and implementing IEPs, including ongoing progress monitoring
• Familiarity with both push-in and pull-out service models
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing specialized instruction and support to students in 5th and 6th grades within a collaborative and supportive school environment
• Implementing both individualized and group interventions as needed in general education and resource settings
• Serving as the Teacher of Record for assigned students and managing all legal documentation
• Developing, writing, and revising IEPs that address each student’s unique learning and behavioral needs
• Monitoring and documenting students' progress, updating records, and communicating with the team
• Building positive relationships with students and fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
