Special Education Teacher in Stillwater, MN

Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting a dynamic elementary special education classroom in a collaborative, well-resourced environment. You'll work closely with a team of dedicated paraprofessionals, guiding a cluster classroom of approximately 10 students, and making a direct impact on learners with significant needs. With a set schedule from 7:20 am to 3:20 pm, you'll have a consistent routine and the full support of your colleagues.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid licensure in Special Education
• Experience in center-based classrooms, particularly supporting students with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Ability to work effectively in a team-teaching environment with paraprofessional staff
• Strong organizational skills and an adaptive, student-centered mindset
• Commitment to creating a positive, structured learning atmosphere

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct special education instruction to a caseload of 10 students in a self-contained setting
• Collaborate with three paraprofessionals to ensure effective support and individualized care
• Develop and implement IEP goals and data-driven instructional strategies
• Foster communication with families and multidisciplinary teams to support student growth
• Maintain an engaging, safe, and inclusive classroom environment

This is a full-time role aligned with the school day, from November 1, 2026, through February 15, 2027. No hybrid or virtual options, ensuring meaningful, in-person connections with students and colleagues.
