Special Education Teacher - Quakertown, PA
Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher, supporting middle school students in an Autistic Support program. This contract opportunity (ASAP through June 10, 2027) allows you to work in a nurturing educational environment dedicated to student development, located in the vibrant Quakertown, PA area.
Your consistent schedule will be Monday to Friday, 7:15am-2:45pm, with 35 hours per week and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. You’ll be instrumental in fostering growth and empowering students by creating individualized learning plans tailored to their unique needs. The caseload will be provided upon assignment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement for middle school grades (required)
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum strongly preferred
- Adaptability and creativity in delivering differentiated instruction
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for engaging families and school teams
- Commitment to fostering a caring, inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and behavioral support to middle school students in an autistic support setting
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with families, related service providers, and other educators to promote student success
- Modify curriculum and learning activities to match student needs and IEP goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for student progress and compliance
