Multiple contract positions are currently available for qualified Special Education Teachers, with immediate openings through June 11, 2026. These roles offer the opportunity to work in various classroom environments, including settings focused on autism spectrum disorders, early childhood special education, developmental cognitive disabilities, and homebound instruction.

Positions include:

  • Autism Teacher (RiverEast Elem/Secondary, Setting 4; 4-6 students; two positions)
  • Autism Teacher (Farnsworth Aerospace Lower, Setting 3 ASD/DCD; 6-8 students)
  • Early Childhood Special Education Teacher (Itinerant, 271 Belvidere Bldg)
  • Special Education Teacher (Global Arts Plus-Lower, Setting 1 & 2; 15-19 students)
  • Developmental Cognitive Disabilities Teacher (Farnsworth Aerospace Upper, Setting 3 ASD/DCD; 8-10 students)
  • Special Education Teacher (Homebound, services at various locations, reports to RiverEast)

What We’re Looking For:

  • Valid Minnesota teaching license in special education (required)
  • Experience working with students in specialized settings (ASD, DCD, ECSE, homebound/inclusion) preferred
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability with diverse student needs and caseloads
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for teaming with families and colleagues
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and individualized support to students with special education needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs with measurable goals
  • Maintain student records in compliance with district and state requirements
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching approaches to align with student goals and learning styles
  • Communicate proactively with families and service providers

This is an on-site only opportunity, working up to 37.5 hours per week in a collaborative school community.
