Special Education Teacher | Kelso, Washington

This contracted full-time position runs through June 11, 2027, and is a fantastic chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners. You’ll work on-site, guiding students with a range of disabilities each school day in a collaborative, nurturing environment.

What you'll need to succeed:

• Current Washington State Special Education Teacher Certification
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in varied disability categories
• Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
• Ability to foster inclusivity, engagement, and a positive learning environment
• Adept in individualized education program (IEP) planning, documentation, and implementation
• Committed to effective communication with students, families, and colleagues

Core responsibilities:

• Design and deliver tailored instruction to meet the unique needs of each student
• Develop, implement, and track progress on IEPs in collaboration with the special education team
• Modify curriculum and adapt teaching methods to address individual learning styles
• Engage in data-driven decision making to continually advance student growth
• Build relationships with families and collaborate with general education staff and specialists
• Maintain accurate, compliant records and attend IEP meetings as required
