What We’re Seeking:

  • Active Florida ESE certification with additional K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification
  • Prior direct experience in a self-contained classroom is essential
  • Deep understanding of individualized instruction for varying learning levels and exceptionalities
  • A commitment to inclusivity, empathy, patience, and creative problem-solving
  • Willingness to complete all time-sensitive credentialing steps, including fingerprinting and background checks
  • Ability to work exclusively on-site for the full duration of the contract (VOCO/remote not available)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a self-contained ESE classroom in an elementary setting (specific location to be confirmed), effectively planning and executing individualized educational programs
  • Foster a positive, supportive classroom culture that promotes both academic and personal growth for all students
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, administrators, and families to coordinate care and ensure compliance with IEPs
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to accommodate different learning styles and classroom needs
  • Maintain accurate records and thorough communication related to student progress, behavioral interventions, and compliance documentation

Successful candidates will complete a streamlined virtual prescreen interview process, with credentialing and badge issuance required (including potential verification or re-printing of prior fingerprints for Florida school districts).
