Qualifications & Experience

• Valid and active Delaware Special Education Teacher certification (must be attached to your application)
• Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in K-12 school settings
• Thorough understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver direct instruction and individualized support to students with varying disabilities
• Collaborate with general education staff to modify curriculum and develop appropriate accommodations
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages academic and social growth
• Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust plans as needed
• Maintain accurate records, complete necessary documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
• Support students across multiple schools within the district as assigned
