Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Prior experience working with K-12 students in a special education capacity
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
• Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
• Familiarity with a range of instructional strategies and behavioral supports

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and adapt lesson plans tailored to individual student abilities and learning styles
• Support students with learning, emotional, and physical challenges, ensuring accessibility and engagement
• Assess students’ strengths and needs, monitor progress, and revise educational strategies as necessary
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to deliver comprehensive support
• Maintain required documentation, including IEPs and progress reports, in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
• Foster a respectful and encouraging classroom environment that celebrates student achievements
