Special Education Teacher - Glendale, AZ

Key Qualifications:
- Active Arizona Special Education teaching certificate
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required
- Previous experience with high school-aged students, ideally in a resource or inclusive classroom setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated commitment to individualized instruction and student advocacy
- Adaptability and resourcefulness in managing a dynamic classroom
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to high school students, addressing individualized education plans (IEPs) and targeted learning goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to ensure student success across academic and behavioral domains
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to varied learning abilities and styles
- Assess student progress regularly, adjusting strategies as needed to maximize growth, engagement, and independence
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and ongoing training related to best practices in special education
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages self-advocacy and celebrates student achievement
