Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Indiana teaching license in Special Education (please be prepared to provide proof)
- Experience working with students with mild disabilities preferred
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable adopting innovative instructional approaches
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom culture
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead educator in a self-contained classroom, supporting students with mild disabilities
- Develop, modify, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student progress
- Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction that meets unique student needs
- Monitor student progress and adapt strategies as necessary
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all school and district protocols
- Foster a positive, respectful, and structured learning environment
