Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Kansas Special Education Certification (KS SPED Cert) required
- Previous teaching experience in special education environments
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with either elementary or middle school-aged children
- Expertise in supporting students with emotional disabilities and/or functional and life skills needs
- Strong communication, empathy, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and productive learning atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques to reach students at varying academic and developmental levels
