These on-site roles provide a chance to serve amazing students across a range of federal settings, from autism-focused classrooms to itinerant early childhood special education.
Desired Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education.
- Previous experience supporting students with autism, developmental cognitive disabilities, or within early childhood SPED settings is a plus.
- Skilled in designing and adapting individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Confidence in classroom management with diverse learners.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams and families.
Role Highlights:
- Serve students in a variety of settings, including Setting 1, 2, 3, and 4 classrooms and itinerant/homebound services.
- Autism-focused opportunities at RiverEast (elementary/secondary, Setting 4, small caseload) and Farnsworth Aerospace Lower (Setting 3 ASD/DCD, moderate caseload).
- Early Childhood Special Education itinerant teaching based at 271 Belvidere.
- Support broader special education needs at Global Arts Plus Lower (mixed settings, up to 19 students) and Farnsworth Aerospace Upper (developmental cognitive disabilities, moderate caseload).
- Deliver homebound services, ensuring education continuity for students unable to attend in-person.
- Collaborate with other teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists for holistic student support.
- Full-time, 37.5-hour/week, on-site positions.
