Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid low-incidence special education teaching license required and must be active upon application submission
- Previous classroom experience supporting students with significant cognitive or physical disabilities strongly preferred
- Strong ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff
- Dedication to fostering confidence, independence, and participation in all students
- Availability to work onsite (in-person), virtual options are not available
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and tailored interventions to a diverse group of learners with significant disabilities
- Maintain and manage a caseload of approximately 10 students, ensuring all IEP goals are actively pursued
- Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with each student’s strengths and needs
- Monitor and track student progress with detailed documentation
- Collaborate regularly with other educators, therapists, and administrators to deliver holistic support
- Effectively communicate with families to foster ongoing engagement and partnership
- Create an inclusive, positive, and safe classroom environment
