Openings are available in three key areas:
- Middle School classroom supporting students with emotional disabilities.
- Middle School classroom focused on students with functional/life skills needs.
- Elementary classroom for children with emotional disabilities.
You’ll collaborate with a dedicated team, utilize your specialized training, and help create positive educational outcomes for every learner.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Kansas Special Education Certification (KS SPED Cert) required
- Experience working with students with emotional disabilities or functional/life skills preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse learning needs
- Passion for supporting the growth and well-being of school-age children
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Deliver personalized instruction to students based on their unique goals
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Collect data and monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Partner with families, support staff, and other educators to advocate for student success
- Maintain accurate records and comply with applicable policies and procedures
