Key Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina teaching license is mandatory
- Possession of both Special Education and Early Childhood degree/certification for EC PCD (3-4yo) position
- SPED Multi-Categorical endorsement required for K-3rd and high school self-contained classrooms
- Previous teaching experience in self-contained or special education settings preferred
- Strong commitment to fostering inclusive, positive learning environments
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Create and maintain safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environments
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Deliver instruction aligned with both general and special education curriculums
- Track progress, conduct assessments, and document student performance
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and professional development activities
