Positions are based at a single school site, allowing you to immerse yourself in a close-knit educational environment and collaborate with a skilled team.

Available roles include:

• Middle school teacher specializing in supporting students with emotional disabilities
• Middle school teacher focused on functional/life skills development
• Elementary teacher working with students who have emotional disabilities

What you’ll do:

• Create individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and requirements
• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to individuals and small groups
• Foster a supportive, structured classroom environment that emphasizes social-emotional growth
• Track and assess progress, maintaining comprehensive records in accordance with regulations
• Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and families
• Participate in professional development to continually enhance your teaching practice

Desired qualifications:

• Active Kansas Special Education Certification (required)
• Experience as a special education teacher or in a school-based special needs setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an empathetic and adaptable teaching approach
• Knowledge of best practices for students with emotional and/or functional/life skill needs
• Comfortable working onsite and supporting learners in person
