This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a difference as a Special Education Teacher, fostering growth and development for a small group of students who benefit from specialized instruction. Two roles are available—one serving elementary-aged students and the other supporting secondary learners. Each caseload is intentionally limited to around 10 students, ensuring you have the time and resources to provide individualized attention.

You’ll be working full time (35 to 40 hours per week) throughout the academic year, from August 11th, 2026 through May 19th, 2027. Direct, in-person teaching is required—no virtual options—so you’ll be at the heart of your students’ learning and progress every day.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Low-Incidence Special Education license (must be current and submitted with application)
  • Experience working with students with significant disabilities, preferably in a school setting
  • Ability to design and implement individualized education plans tailored to students’ needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, working with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Dedication to fostering a supportive, structured classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver individualized instruction for students with significant needs
  • Assess student progress and adjust strategies to promote growth
  • Collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and families
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and district standards
