An exciting contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work onsite in a self-contained classroom supporting students with mild disabilities. This full-time position requires commitment for 35 hours per week, with an immediate start and a term running through December 18, 2026. Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and active Indiana teaching license in Special Education (screenshot required for verification)
- Previous experience supporting students with mild disabilities is highly valued
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to develop and adapt lesson plans to meet individual learning needs
- Dedicated, compassionate, and flexible in working with a diverse student population
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive instructional support within a self-contained setting
- Modify curriculum and instruction for individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student achievement
- Track and report progress on student IEP goals, maintaining all documentation and compliance standards
