Bilingual Therapies is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in an Autistic Support program in Allentown, PA. This full-time school-based opportunity is ideal for a Pennsylvania-certified educator with experience supporting students with autism and a passion for creating a structured, supportive learning environment.

Position Details

  • Position: Special Education Teacher

  • Program: Middle School Autistic Support

  • Location: Allentown, PA

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • End Date: June 10, 2027

  • Schedule: 7:15 AM–2:45 PM

  • Hours: 35 hours per week

  • Lunch: 30-minute unpaid lunch

  • Setting: Onsite, school-based

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized instruction to middle school students in an Autistic Support classroom.

  • Develop and implement instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals and individual needs.

  • Maintain a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate educational documentation.

  • Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, families, and school staff.

  • Support students’ academic, behavioral, communication, and social-emotional development.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Active Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate covering Special Education for middle school-aged students is required.

  • Experience working with students with autism and/or in an Autistic Support setting preferred.

  • Middle school special education experience preferred.

  • Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to provide individualized instruction and support in a specialized classroom setting.

Work Hours & Industry

  • Full-time, 35 hours per week

  • Monday–Friday school schedule

  • School-based education setting
