School Social Worker - Fenton, MI

This contract opportunity offers School Social Workers the chance to bring expert support to elementary, middle, or high school students, providing vital interventions and guidance to help them flourish academically and emotionally. The assignment runs from ASAP through June 11, 2027, with a consistent 35-hour workweek.
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution and a valid LARA license. You’ll also need one of the following credentials: Preliminary School Social Worker Certificate (PSSWC), Professional School Social Worker Certificate (PSWC), or School Social Worker Permit (SSWP). Collecting your Official University Transcripts and MDE SW Approval will be required prior to submission.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (MSW) from an accredited college or university
- Valid LARA license for social work in Michigan
- Hold PSSWC, PSWC, or SSWP
- Experience supporting special education students is highly desired
- Comfortable with direct interventions (small group, moderate group, or 1:1 work)
- Flexibility to serve students in grades K-12 depending on availability
- Willingness to work onsite; strong candidates with experience may be considered for virtual placement
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group intervention services to students with diverse needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and special education teams
- Provide social-emotional and behavioral support to facilitate learning and growth
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting as required by school and state guidelines
