School-Based Social Worker - Cicero, Illinois

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide both individual and group counseling tailored to students’ unique needs
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to design and implement effective individualized education and behavioral plans
• Conduct thorough assessments to identify challenges students face, developing interventions that foster their well-being
• Address critical issues impacting educational experiences, such as bullying, social adjustment, truancy, and family difficulties
• Bridge communication among the school, families, and vital local community resources
• Assist with crisis intervention and help manage conflict resolution as situations arise

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Illinois licensure as a School Social Worker
• Demonstrated experience supporting student development within an educational environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with an empathetic approach
• Strong organizational skills for managing caseloads, documentation, and reporting
• Awareness of and ability to leverage local community and support resources
