Key Qualifications:

• Active PEL (Professional Educator License) certification required
• Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English preferred)
• Previous experience in a school or youth-centered setting highly desirable
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
• Proven crisis intervention and problem-solving abilities

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Develop and implement interventions and support plans for students
• Provide counseling services to individuals and small groups
• Serve as a liaison between students, families, and school staff, ensuring clear communication and advocacy in both English and Spanish
• Support students and families in accessing resources within the school and external community
• Maintain accurate records and document case progress in compliance with school guidelines
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and review student plans
• Promote a positive school climate and help reduce barriers to learning
