Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of children as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in an engaging school setting near Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to provide essential direct speech services to students at one of several supportive and dynamic campuses. Starting as soon as possible and running through the end of May 2027, you’ll help empower children of varying age groups in their communication journeys.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license required
• At least 2 years of experience as an SLPA
• Minimum of 6 months of school-based SLPA experience
• Fingerprint clearance through AHCA Clearinghouse (verification required if previously completed)
• Ability to apply for a JLA badge (can take up to 10 business days)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Adaptability to support students at either elementary or specialized center school environments

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech therapy services to assigned caseload
• Collaborate with supervising SLPs and multidisciplinary school teams to implement individualized plans
• Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and session notes
• Support classroom activities and facilitate carryover of speech/language goals
• Engage with families and school staff to ensure continuity of care and student success
• Provide services on-site only (no remote work/VOC options available)
• Adapt to the needs of traditional elementary or specialized severe population caseloads
