School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant | North Fort Myers, Florida
Exciting opportunities are available for dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) to support students across several school sites near North Fort Myers, FL. This contract role offers both part-time and full-time schedules, with placements at up to three locations to build your preferred hours. Your expertise will benefit children and adolescents with a manageable caseload of 50-55 students.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license (required)
- Recent experience in school-based speech and language therapy (preferred)
- Ability to adapt and collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Reliable transportation to access different school campuses as assigned
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy support under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for K-12 students at multiple campuses
- Collect data and monitor student progress, maintaining clear and timely documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Support students in classroom and pull-out settings, contributing to a positive school environment
Essential Details:
- On-site only—remote work is not available for this role
- Multiple campus assignments required to build a full-time schedule (up to 37.5 hours per week)
- Participation in the district credentialing process, including fingerprinting and JLA badge acquisition. If you have valid prints in the AHCA Clearinghouse or a transferable JLA badge, the process may be expedited.
