School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Woodbridge, Virginia
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic school setting near Woodbridge, VA, just 45 minutes south of the Washington DC area. This full-time, on-site position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students of all ages—assignments are available at elementary, middle, and high school levels, with exact school sites to be determined. The contract runs the full 185-day academic calendar, beginning August 3, 2026, and concluding May 27, 2027, offering 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current, active Speech-Language Pathology license in Virginia
- Prior experience working with school-aged children is preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively manage diverse caseloads
- Commitment to in-person service delivery (no telepractice or hybrid options available)
- Must complete a Virginia Dept. of Social Services background check and TB test promptly upon hire
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy to students in assigned school(s)
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and develop tailored goals
- Provide direct and consultative services to students, staff, and families
- Collect data and maintain detailed records on student progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student communication needs
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive educational environment for students of all ages and abilities
