School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Vero Beach, Florida
Take your next step as a dynamic Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students in engaging school environments along Florida’s scenic southeast coast. Multiple full-year and maternity leave contract positions are available, beginning August 2026 and running through June 2027—with flexible options for those seeking either an entire academic year commitment or shorter coverage for leave periods.
Work directly onsite across 1-2 campuses, with FT schedules (35 hours/week) and focused caseloads tailored to your clinical strengths. Assignments range from middle and high school placements with inclusive units to resource therapy in K-8 settings. You’ll collaborate with experienced SLPs, SLPAs, and special education teams—or take the lead as the sole SLP, shaping services in partnership with school administrators and families.
Desired Background:
- Active Florida SLP licensure required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- School-based or pediatric SLP experience strongly valued
- Comfort working with diverse populations, including ASD, EBD, or InD units
- Strong organization, documentation, and IEP team communication abilities
- Fingerprinting may be required (potential to transfer existing DOH prints)
- Availability for interviews July 1, 2026 is encouraged
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech-language therapy to assigned caseload
- Complete thorough evaluations, progress notes, and IEP meetings in a timely manner
