Virtual Speech Language Pathologist - MD
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathologist skilled in telespeech and teletherapy services, located in Laurel, MD. This position supports school-aged children in a virtual school-based setting and requires a commitment from August 25, 2026, through June 11, 2027. The role involves approximately 35 hours per week, spread across three full days to be determined based on candidate preferences and supervisor discussions. Candidates must operate within the Eastern Standard Time zone.
Key responsibilities include providing speech and language therapy tailored to various age groups, primarily students in elementary, middle, and peak year caseloads that may range from 40 to 57 students. Assignments will be aligned with the clinician’s expertise as well as geographical considerations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Active licensure as an SLP in the state of Maryland
- Minimum of 3 years of virtual, school-based speech therapy experience post-COVID, with at least 2 years within the past 5 years
- Proficiency in telespeech and teletherapy techniques for school populations
- Ability to manage caseloads remotely, maintaining compliance with school and state requirements
- Current House Bill background clearance and ability to complete credentialing processes promptly
- Submission of references, resume, and license documentation required prior to onboarding
