Step into an impactful role supporting students’ communication and learning as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist. Located just 45 minutes south of DC, this contract position serves a vibrant educational community in the greater Washington, DC area. The opportunity spans from August 3, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with placements available at all school levels—elementary, middle, and high school.

As part of a dedicated team, you’ll deliver on-site speech and language services for a diverse range of students over a 185-day school year (37.5 hours per week). Your expertise will help shape students’ confidence and academic growth in an educational setting that values your contributions.

What you’ll bring:

  • Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
  • Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with a variety of caseloads and age groups
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to supporting IEP goals and student success
  • Ability to complete a VA Dept. of Social Services background check immediately
  • TB Test required for credentialing

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments and therapy sessions
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families for cohesive student support
  • Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Engage with a multidisciplinary team to ensure students’ well-being
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource on communication disorders in the school community
