Speech Language Pathologist in Palmetto, FL

This full-time contract opportunity spans the academic year, from August through May, and involves on-site work at two vibrant campuses—Nolan Middle and Manatee Elementary—with potential for additional placements as they become available. Preferred candidates are passionate, driven, and equipped with a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, holding or eligible for a valid Florida SLP license. Those completing their Clinical Fellowship Year are encouraged to apply, as both SLPs with CCCs and CFY candidates are welcomed. Please note, SLPAs are not being considered for this opening.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
- Active or pending Florida SLP license
- CCCs preferred; CFY candidates also accepted
- Prior school-based experience is advantageous but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to adapt to varying caseloads and assignments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students of varying ages
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to maximize student success
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
