Speech Language Pathologist in Orange City, FL

Several openings across elementary, middle, and high schools allow you to choose the environment that best matches your interests—including placements supporting maternity leaves and both full-time and part-time schedules. Immediate needs include schools focused on both general and more complex student populations, making this an ideal setting if you have experience with severe-profound needs and alternative/augmentative communication (AAC).
This contract position offers you a chance to apply your expertise in dynamic school environments, working collaboratively with educational teams and families.
What We’re Looking For:
- Florida SLP license (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply—supervision provided
- Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Recent school-based SLP experience—severe-profound population and AAC proficiency needed
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to provide on-site services (no virtual placements or SLPAs accepted at this time)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services to students, addressing a range of communication disorders
- Evaluate and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide therapy tailored to students’ individual needs, including those utilizing AAC
- Maintain detailed therapy records and collaborate with teachers, staff, and caregivers
- Contribute to IEP meetings and regularly assess student progress
