Based near Kansas City, MO, this assignment runs from late August 2026 through May 2027, supporting students with a wide range of communication needs. Your expertise will make a significant impact as you fill a vital backfill role, with specific school placements and caseload details to be determined according to your preference and experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Experience working within school settings preferred
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Strong skills in assessment, service plan development, and providing therapy
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities
- Onsite only; no remote options available
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans
- Address various speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders among students
- Collaborate with educators and families to create supportive learning strategies
- Document progress, perform regular assessments, and maintain compliance with school policies
- Engage in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing educational planning
- Adapt interventions as needed for students with diverse backgrounds and needs
