Speech Language Pathologist in Grain Valley, MO
Make a real impact supporting students’ speech and language development in a dynamic school-based setting! A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist is needed for an onsite contract role for the upcoming academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate SLP to enrich young learners’ communication skills within a collaborative educational environment.
You’ll be working daily from 9:00am to 4:40pm, Monday through Friday, beginning in late August and continuing until the end of May. In this backfill position, your specific caseload or school site will be determined based on district needs and your professional preferences—offering flexibility and the chance to tailor your experience.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current and valid SLP license (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in school settings strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Passion for supporting diverse student populations with speech and language challenges
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Provide speech and language therapy services in accordance with IEPs
- Document progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to meet student goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and share expertise in best-practices
- Adjust strategies to meet each student’s unique learning needs
- Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and district protocols
