School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Deltona, Florida
Make an impact in the lives of students in Volusia County as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026-2027 academic year. Multiple schools have immediate needs for dedicated and compassionate SLPs. Full clinical fellowship (CF) supervision is available, making this an excellent opportunity for both experienced professionals and recent graduates ready to launch their school-based careers. Please note: positions are on-site only, and SLPAs or virtual applicants cannot be considered.
Opportunities are available in several schools, including elementary, middle, and high school settings. Assignments include both full-time (5 days/week) and part-time (2-3 days/week) roles, with start dates beginning in August 2026.
Qualifications:
- Current and active Florida SLP license (ASHA CCCs preferred)
- School-based SLP experience highly valued
- Demonstrated skill working with severe-profound student populations
- Competence in the use of AAC devices and strategies
- Passion for supporting diverse communication needs across age groups
- Commitment to on-site service (no remote positions available)
- Open to SLPs completing their Clinical Fellowship (CF); strong supervision provided
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech, language, and communication therapy to students with a variety of needs
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and document student progress according to district and compliance guidelines
- Deliver direct and consultative services as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to building an inclusive, supportive learning environment
