Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Washington SLP license
  • Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certificate
  • Fingerprinting clearance through OSPI
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Prior experience in a school-based SLP role preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Availability for in-person services

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments for students referred for services
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) focused on communication skills and language development
  • Deliver therapy sessions, both individual and group, tailored to diverse student needs in elementary or high school settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to foster student success and meet educational goals
  • Document progress, maintain compliant records, and participate in required meetings
  • Educate and support staff and parents in strategies for improving student communication in the classroom
