Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain prior to working)
  • Previous experience providing SLP services in a school environment is highly preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school teams
  • Proficiency in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose students demonstrating speech, language, and communication needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and evidence-based interventions
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to best serve students
  • Document evaluations, session notes, and progress for IEP meetings and student records
  • Participate as a valued member of multidisciplinary teams in the development of IEP goals and recommendations
  • Provide direct therapy as well as consultative services and training to staff and caregivers
