Key Qualifications:

• Valid EIPA score of 3.0 or higher (required)
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience interpreting in educational settings, preferably with young children
• Ability to work onsite and maintain a consistent schedule from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and student-centered approach
• Organizational skills to manage schedules and maintain professional documentation

Responsibilities:

• Deliver interpreting services to students within the elementary caseload
• Support student participation during classroom activities, group work, and individual instruction
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administration to facilitate effective communication and ensure student success
• Adapt interpreting methods to meet individual student needs and changing classroom dynamics
• Foster an inclusive learning environment that respects and meets the needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
• Maintain accurate records and uphold professional confidentiality standards
