Qualifications:
- National Certification in Music Therapy
- Familiarity with assessment protocols for students with disabilities
- Strong grasp of strategies and adaptive equipment for music therapy
- Experience supporting students’ IEP goals and working with ARD Committees
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Awareness of interventions for students with autism and developmental disabilities
- Ability to pass district fingerprint/background check
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging individual and group music therapy services for students across assigned campuses
- Collaborate on IEP goals, evaluate progress, and participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings
- Design and adapt music-related materials/tools for classroom and student needs
- Consistently assess and track student eligibility and outcomes, maintaining thorough documentation
- Consult and train staff, parents, and administrators in music therapy strategies
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment
- Support program evaluation and help select resources for music therapy
- Uphold school policies, participate in professional growth activities, and complete required reports
