School Psychologist in Rockwell, NC
Empower students and collaborate with educators as a contracted School Psychologist supporting a PreK-12 caseload. This full-time opportunity runs from August 4, 2026, through May 28, 2027, taking place exclusively onsite across various district campuses near Rockwell, NC.
Leverage your expertise to help foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student learning and well-being through both individualized assessments and broader initiatives. Your knowledge of ECATS and active NCDPI Psychologist License are essential to delivering quality psychological services and interventions.
Qualifications:
- Valid and current NCDPI Psychologist License (must attach active license with application)
- Demonstrated ECATS proficiency
- Experience supporting PreK-12 students, preferably in a school setting
- Strong consultation, counseling, and crisis intervention abilities
- Skilled at conducting psychoeducational evaluations for students suspected of having disabilities
- Effective communicator who can facilitate conferences with parents and provide staff training
- Collaborative mindset with experience working in multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct psychological services, including counseling, consultation, and crisis response
- Address students’ mental health needs and provide support for academic achievement
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments
- Lead parent conferences and offer guidance on student needs
- Deliver staff training on key topics related to student health and success
- Actively participate in district-level multidisciplinary teams
- Collaborate onsite with educators, support staff, and families
- Perform additional duties as assigned
