School Psychologist | New London, North Carolina
Make a difference in students’ lives across all grade levels by providing comprehensive psychological services in a supportive school environment. This full-time, onsite contract position offers the opportunity to work directly with students, teachers, and families, delivering both immediate support and long-term interventions through assessment, consultation, and collaboration. You’ll become a vital part of multidisciplinary teams, helping create solutions that shape educational experiences and outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active NCDPI School Psychologist license (must attach at time of application)
- Experience with ECATS required
- Previous background in PreK–12 school settings preferred
- Skilled in psychoeducational assessment and evaluation
- Effective communicator, both with families and school staff
- Ability to facilitate crisis response and support mental health initiatives
- Competence in presenting trainings and contributing as a team member
- Familiarity with North Carolina educational requirements and procedures
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations for students suspected of having disabilities
- Consult and collaborate with educators, school teams, and families to address diverse learning and behavioral needs
- Facilitate crisis intervention and provide counseling services as needed
- Hold conferences with parents to discuss student progress and strategies
- Organize and present professional development trainings to staff
- Actively participate in multidisciplinary district-level teams
- Address mental health concerns and develop support plans within the school context
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisors to support student well-being
Position Details:
- Contract role: August 2026–May 2027
- 37.5 hours per week, onsite only
- Caseload includes PreK–12 students, serving across multiple district campuses
