School Psychologist - Denton, NC
Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a School Psychologist serving PreK-12 students in a supportive educational environment. This onsite, full-time contract spans from August 2026 to May 2027, offering the chance to collaborate across various campuses in a dynamic district setting. Engage in meaningful work supporting the emotional, academic, and behavioral health of diverse learners as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Qualifications:
- Active NCDPI School Psychologist licensure (must be current and verified)
- Experience utilizing ECATS, with proficiency in navigating student records and interventions
- Previous school-based experience, ideally serving a PreK-12 caseload
- Strong consultation, counseling, and crisis response skills
- Ability to lead psychoeducational evaluations and collaborate with staff, students, and families
- Effective communication for conferences with parents and staff training
- Flexibility and a collaborative approach to working within multi-disciplinary district-level teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with educators, school staff, and families to support student mental health and learning
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments for students suspected of disabilities, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up
- Facilitate staff development through targeted training sessions
- Hold parent conferences to discuss student performance, needs, and interventions
- Participate actively in crisis response and intervention within the school setting
- Contribute as a member of district-wide multidisciplinary teams to enhance student supports
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
