Essential Qualifications:

  • Must hold an active NCDPI School Psychologist license (attach proof of current licensure with application)
  • Solid working knowledge of ECATS is required
  • Experience within school settings and proficiency in psychoeducational evaluations
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Capability to conduct conferences with parents and offer crisis response
  • Comfortable providing staff training and mental health interventions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform consultation, intervention, and counseling for students and staff
  • Address and support student mental health needs and crisis situations
  • Administer and interpret psychoeducational assessments for students suspected of having disabilities
  • Engage families through conferences and ongoing communication
  • Deliver training sessions to school personnel as needed
  • Participate on district-level multidisciplinary teams alongside other educators
  • Maintain an active, positive presence across multiple school sites (mileage not reimbursed)
  • Fulfill additional assignments from supervisors, ensuring the well-being and academic progress of the student caseload

This is a full-time, onsite contract role (37.5 hours per week) from August 4, 2026, through May 28, 2027, offering the unique benefits of working directly with diverse student populations and educational professionals. The application process will include an interview via Microsoft Teams.
