School Registered Nurse (RN) in Orange, NJ

Key Qualifications:

• Active and valid New Jersey School Nursing RN license is required
• Demonstrated school-based nursing experience
• Comfort and familiarity with school district operations
• Ability to manage and oversee the health needs of entire school buildings and fulfill a diverse caseload
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel district-wide
• Must reside within reasonable commuting distance

Onboarding Requirements:

• Completion of TB test and physical examination
• Fingerprinting for both agency and district compliance
• Availability for prompt 15-minute interviews
• LPNs are not eligible for this role

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care and health services to students across the district
• Oversee the implementation of individualized healthcare plans
• Respond to health emergencies and administer medication as needed
• Serve as a key health resource for students, staff, and parents
• Maintain confidential health records and adhere to district protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in school wellness initiatives

This full-time position spans 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:15AM to 3:15PM. Your expertise will contribute to a nurturing educational setting where every student has access to essential healthcare.
