As a full-time onsite Registered Nurse, you’ll make a meaningful impact each day by supporting students who require specialized medical attention within a school environment. This contract opportunity spans from ASAP through the end of May 2027, offering stability and the chance to develop lasting relationships with students, staff, and families.
In this setting, you’ll be responsible for individualized health services such as G-tube feedings, care for trach-dependent students, suctioning, seizure or epilepsy monitoring, medication administration, and any other medical interventions students may need throughout the school day. Collaboration with educators, families, and external healthcare providers is essential for ensuring student well-being and safety.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Georgia RN license
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
- Demonstrated ability to care for students with complex, critical, or medically fragile conditions
- Familiarity with G-tube feedings, trach care, and suctioning preferred
- Comfort managing seizures or caring for epilepsy required
- Availability to work full-time onsite (8:10 AM – 4:10 PM)
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care and medical interventions to assigned students
- Monitor and manage chronic health issues and respond to acute needs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Maintain accurate health records in accordance with school protocols
- Communicate effectively with families, staff, and healthcare teams to support coordinated care
