Dyslexia Reading Specialist in Irving, TX

Key Qualifications:

• Active valid General Teaching Endorsement
• At least one of the following: Reading Endorsement, Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) designation, or Licensed Dyslexia Practitioner (LDP) status
• Experience as a Reading Specialist and hands-on expertise in evidence-based dyslexia interventions
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families
• Familiarity with school-based assessment and data-driven instructional planning
• Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, individualized reading instruction to students with dyslexia at both the elementary and high school level
• Screen, assess, and monitor student progress; develop and adapt intervention plans as needed
• Collaborate with teaching staff and school administration to support implementation of best practices in literacy development
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate progress with parents and stakeholders
• Deliver training and guidance to staff on dyslexia awareness and intervention strategies
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all reporting and regulatory requirements
