Physical Therapist - School Setting in Warsaw, VA

You’ll work closely with a caseload of 6 K-12 students in need of specialized support, dedicating 8 hours each week to helping them develop, strengthen, and maintain their physical capabilities. Collaborate with educators and staff to create and implement individualized therapy plans that help each student thrive academically and functionally.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Physical Therapist license and eligibility to practice in the state
• Background in providing PT services within an educational or pediatric environment preferred
• Ability to assess, plan, and carry out school-based physical therapy programs
• Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and education staff
• Organized, compassionate, and capable of managing a small, diverse caseload

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and establish individualized treatment goals for students, focusing on functional abilities and academic participation
• Deliver onsite PT services tailored to each student’s needs in accordance with their IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers and other therapists to maximize student success
• Document progress, maintain detailed records, and participate in IEP meetings as required
• Provide guidance and education to families and school staff regarding mobility, equipment, and adaptations
