Physical Therapist - School Setting in Tavares, FL

Beginning August 3, 2026, and running through May 28, 2027, this contract role offers the flexibility of either a full-time position (40 hours per week) or job-sharing among 2-3 part-time Physical Therapists to best fit your schedule.

You’ll collaborate with another PT and a PTA, serving an itinerant caseload across up to 35 schools, typically providing services at two or three sites per day. With a diverse student group from Pre-K through high school, you’ll support a variety of physical needs—delivering both direct and indirect therapeutic services tailored to each individual.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized physical therapy plans for K-12 students
• Work collaboratively with educators, staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
• Travel between campuses as assigned, serving a share of approximately 94 students
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and required documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on therapy needs and accommodations
• Support onboarding and compliance with all school district credentialing

Qualifications & Skills:

• Active Florida Physical Therapy license
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable working across multiple campuses
• Experience in school-based settings is highly desired, though not required
