Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Physical Therapist (PT) license issued by the State of Connecticut
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric settings is preferred
  • Open to Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) with supervision provided
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Passion for working with young children and adapting activities for diverse abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct, individualized PT interventions to students in PreK-3rd grade
  • Conduct assessments and develop personalized treatment plans to support each student’s mobility and access within the school environment
  • Document progress notes and maintain accurate, confidential records in accordance with school and state requirements
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to foster student growth and achievement
  • Contribute to IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and goal-setting as needed
  • Participate in team meetings and support a positive, inclusive school culture
