Step into a dynamic contract opportunity working with PreK through 3rd grade students for the remainder of the school year. This position is ideal for a licensed Physical Therapist who is passionate about supporting young learners and eager to make a noticeable difference in their daily lives. You’ll be working on-site with a collaborative educational team, helping students reach their physical development milestones.
What you’ll bring:
- Current and valid Physical Therapist license for the state of Connecticut
- Previous pediatric or schools-based PT experience (highly desired)
- Expertise in evaluation, treatment, and documentation in a school setting
- Ability to create individualized therapy plans for children in PreK-3rd grade
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work a 12-hour per week schedule
Primary responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to students in PreK-3rd grade on a caseload basis
- Evaluate students’ motor skills, mobility, and physical functioning
- Develop individualized plans and collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families
- Conduct assessments, progress monitoring, and maintain detailed documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting for students
- Implement therapy using engaging, age-appropriate activities
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all participants
